LAURA KAY BAILEY IS Jo
Laura is an American actress and writer born in Houston, Texas. Based in London since 2014, Laura began acting as a teenager, when she was cast as a troubled youth in indie feature The Trailblazers. After training at Stanford University and Circle in the Square Theatre, Laura spent over a decade working in New York theatre, where her performance in an off-Broadway Tennessee Williams production was labeled "electrifying" by Time Out Magazine. Recent credits include Gale: Stay Away from Oz (dir. Daniel Alexander) and Cancelled, an indie film slated for upcoming release. Taking on iconic roles is not a new challenge to Laura, who recently portrayed Gwyneth Paltrow in the Apple Podcast Courtroom Drama.
PIERS MACKENZIE IS DANIEL
Born in Hong Kong and educated in Asia, Australia, and England, Piers MacKenzie has experience in theatre, film, and television. Since graduating from The Academy of Music and Theatre Arts at Falmouth University, Piers has performed in a wide variety of venues both domestically and internationally. His credits include: a 32-show run of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Stratford-upon-Avon; a UK and European tour of Twelfth Night; an acclaimed solo show Courier at The Blue Room Theatre in Perth, Australia; the Offies-nominated Immersive Frankenstein; and Artificial Ignorance at the Adelaide Fringe. In 2023, Piers was nominated for Broadway World’s Best Leading Performer for his role as the titular character in Midnight Circle’s The Picture of Dorian Gray. Most recently, he starred in the Indian feature film Little Hearts (dir. Aby Treesa Paul & Anto Jose Periera), currently showing in cinemas worldwide.
TRELAWNY KEAN IS EMMA
Trelawny is an Australian actor/singer now based in London. Melbourne theatre credits include: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged!) at Metanoia theatre; The Importance of being Earnest, with Boutique Theatre (Melbourne Fringe); a summer season with the Australian Shakespeare Company and a self devised cabaret at Chapel off Chapel Theatre. Most recently she completed a winter tour of the Snow Queen with Quantum Theatre. Other credits include various short/indie films, commercial voiceovers, and a fictional romance audio series for Dipsea. TERF marks her Edinburgh Fringe debut.
TOM LONGMIRE IS RUPERT
Tom is a recent graduate of Rose Bruford College, where he earned a Distinction in Acting MA. Trained in classical, contemporary, and physical theatre, Tom has a particular aptitude for vocal work and accents. Tom's theatre credits include: Jacque in As You Like It; Walter Meierjohann's Machinal; and Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol. Most recently, Tom completed a UK tour of William Babbington's The Chataeu.
JOSHUA KAPLAN IS THE WRITER/DIRECTOR
Joshua Kaplan is an American screenwriter and playwright. His first play, So Late, So Soon, featuring Oscar-winner Estelle Parsons, was developed with Williamstown Theatre Festival (feat. Harvey Fierstein) and Ensemble Studio Theatre (dir. Jerry Zaks), and his second play, Visiting Hours, was developed at the Actors Studio (feat. Michael Urie) and produced at TheaterLab NYC. Since graduating from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts in 2018 (MFA, Screenwriting), Joshua has assisted in the writers' rooms of Dietland (AMC/Marti Noxon), Designated Survivor (Netflix/Neal Baer), and Tokyo Vice (Max/JT Rogers). Joshua's most recent writing credits include TERF and Season Two of Tokyo Vice. A graduate of Yale Law School and Boston University, Joshua is represented by Grandview Management.
BARRY CHURCH-WOODS iS THE CREATIVE PRODUCER
Barry is a producer, writer, director, artist, and activist. He set up Civil Disobedience in 2015 to amplify the voices of marginalised communities. The following year, the company was nominated as One's To Watch at the Scottish Culture Awards and Best Newcomers at the Pride Scotland Awards, and won Best Production at the Scottish Enterprise Awards for his self-penned immersive club show, Jock Tamson's Bairns. Past projects include Roddy Bottom's Sasquatch The Opera, Courtney Act's The Girl from Oz, immersive installation Joe's NYC Bar, and Pussy Riot: Art as Activism. He's currently on commission to write Now I Know You're Mine, a new play about growing up queer during Margaret Thatcher's Section 28 years, and will open his HIV Destigmatisation Exhibition LOADED at Whitespace Gallery in November later this year.
Cambra Overend iS THE PRODUCER
Cambra Overend is an Emmy-nominated producer and a founding member of SRO. Productions. She was an Executive Producer on the award-winning film Oslo for HBO, starring Ruth Wilson and Andrew Scott, and is currently a producer on the series Tokyo Vice on Max, with Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe. Cambra has produced on such shows as Pictures from Home on Broadway, starring Nathan Lane; and the revival of Camelot at Lincoln Center Theater, with a new book by Aaron Sorkin. In 2019 she produced One Giant Leap on Broadway, a collaboration with The New York Times in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, featuring Jeff Daniels and Samuel L. Jackson as well as Apollo 11 Command Module Pilot Michael Collins. Most recently Cambra helped produce the hit revival of Kiss Me Kate, now running at the Barbican Theatre in London. She is the recipient of a Cullman Award for Extraordinary Creativity from Lincoln Center and in 2022 was named a Woman to Watch by the Broadway Women’s Fund. She is a member of the Producers Guild.
